    Preamble

    Soft skill training programmes are organized for University department students with an aim to improve their skills and make them employable. The experts of the programme concentrates more on developing various skills in students viz. inter-personal, leadership, team building, decision-making and problem solving.

    Yoga and Meditation
    Preamble

    Institution is not an Industry to produce future citizens of a nation but also to train the students physically and mentally and bring out their latent talent to face the challenges in the life and to serve the society. Motivating the students to to achieve peace, prosperity, health, happiness, harmony and wisdom through meditation and get them prepared to be an innovative individual committed to excellence in their career and to serve the social, cultural and spiritual needs of the world with gender equities.

    Objectives
    • • To educate the values of yoga for physical and mental harmony
    • • To manage stress efficiently through yoga
    • • To apply the principles of yoga scientifically for personality development

    Activities
    • • Yoga is included as mandatory add-on course to all undergraduate students and as value education course to university students.
    • • Observance of International Days of Yoga
    • • Organise yoga sessions in the village adopted by NSS volunteers

    Outcome
    • • Practicing yoga, control the emotional wellbeing among the students
    • • Improves concentration and focus on studies
    • • Aspires for a harmonious life filled with mental peace, health and hygiene
    • • Imbibes social, cultural and spiritual qualities

    Health and Hygiene Activities

    Some Departments have organized many health awareness programmes to the students of the University Departments. To mention a few, health awareness programme on Corona virus, awareness programme on rain harvesting and dengue, Seminar on diabetes and its complications, blood donation camp and health awareness etc.
